Actually, the horse is probably trying to eat the broom handle. I was raised around horses and never realized how much they like to chew on wood until just a few years ago.
Well I know that the brush was actually put in the horse’s mouth just to get this shot. But believe it or not, my two lab/chow/miniature collies do this….Dusty, flips his bowl upside down with the food in it and eats the food off the floor, picks up every ounce of food off the floor, won’t eat out of the bowl. Rusty, eats out of his bowl sitting down on all fours. Won’t stand up to eat and lean over, too lazy. Then he takes his dry food bowl, pulls it towards him with his big paw, eats out of it sideways, then tries eating the bowl. Been doing this since they were babies, they are now three years old, you think they would learn. But it really is funny to watch.
