High School Girl’s Experience of Gossip in the 1950’s

When Jack’s move on new girl Jean ends with a slap, he spreads a nasty rumor about her among their friends. As a result, Jean is ostracized by everyone. Things get so bad for poor Jean, she considers leaving her school until our hero – the high school Principal sorts it all out for everyone. A 1950’s social guidance film ( with some great 1950’s teenage fashions included !) on the damage that spreading gossip and rumors can cause. As in How to be Popular – 1940’s High School Dating Guide, this film points out the same principles of respect for others and social etiquette that every young woman and man should follow.
