Hey Ya’ll–this for sure is not a photo shop. This woman has been doing this for years & years. I belong to Curves (not for being overweight-but for being underweight). I’m trying to build muscle weight..& so far it seems to be helping. I’ve gone from 105 to 115 (I started in June). It’s a slow process–and we don’t have gym equipment, but we do exercise. One of the coaches there told me that they have a 96 year old that comes in for exercise & that it may well be why she has lived this long. It’s a slow process, but in the end you start feeling better (physically). But soreness does set in at first-lol! And Lola, one lady there started there because of rheumotoid arthritis in her knees ( she has lost 70 lbs – I think-in a years’ time) & she was told she needed surgery prior to joining Curves, but now she does not need surgery..she still has more weight she needs to lose, but she is moving a whole lot better than she did in the beginning-shoot she shows us what to do at times-lol!

Mary Bare, I hate to call you on this, but I think you may be mistaken. I went back and looked at the picture again, and her legs are muscular probably from hours, days, weeks, months, etc., of exercising. She wouldn’t be able to hold herself up as she is for her age without a lot of strength. I tend to disagree with you, but I could be mistaken and forgive me if I am mistaken. Don’t want anyone to be upset about this.

Mary Bare, I too, have looked over and over at the pose, the shadows and still believe it’s real. There is the second bar just behind her, and I don’t know what it’s called but they go from bar to bar, using their legs swinging back and forth over both bars. I am not a gymnast officianado, but I’ve seen this done many times, and believe that she is the real thing. It is too bad it wasn’t a video, but the videos are a pain and 1/2 to watch, anyway! If I’m wrong, I’ll be the first to admit it, and am not ganging up on you! Take care, and have an awesome day!

Whether it’s a still photo or not, I could NEVER get in that position, less likely do a routine!! That position needs a whole lot of arm, leg and physical, and mental strength. I, too, believe she’s been in gymnastics since childhood. Mary Bare, do you think you could hold yourself up like that, WITHOUT her knee resting on the top of the “horse”? I KNOW that I could NEVER do it. Even without seeing this in motion, that is quite a strenous position to hold, involving great physical strength and stamina. Look how lean and muscular she is. She’s AWESOME ~ Go Granny, go!!!

I’m pretty sure it is a for real shot … caught mid swing. It isn’t posed.

I bet she was a gymnast when she was younger and just kept up the work. Amazing woman, wish I could do that.
