PALMETTO, Fla. — A valuable lesson was learned by ABC 7’s Linda Carson Tuesday: never turn your back on a goat.
She was at the Manatee County Fair in Palmetto recording a track for her story about kids that raise goats, when one goat decided that it was not pleased to have her in the pen — charging her and knocking her to the floor. It even came back for a second charge.
Thankfully Linda look the whole thing in stride and laughed it off. She says it didn’t even hurt.

This was on the news the other night, minus the sound. I loved it when she turned to the 2nd goat and told him to stop chewing her pants (LOL)!!

Living now in the 4th largest metro area in the nation that has 1 of the largest Livestock Shows anywhere, I like (and at the same time dread) going to do nothing but stand around watching people that have never been around stock animals, how they react, and behave around them. Yes, I am easily entertained.

Having grown up in sheep and goat country, I find this funny. Think maybe the goat was trying to tell her he didn’t appreciate the come-on of the petting & scratching and she gets him all stirred up and QUITS!
