We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one. It won’t be so cute when the dog won’t be quiet.

I agree with Lynn. Bentley is a talker, nothing wrong with talking to him and asking him what he was talking about. I don’t think that he was being teased or encouraged to act improperly. It’s not different than talking to your baby and getting a “verbal” response. Babies “talk” to you, when they are happy, just as puppies, and cats do. It’s not teasing, just communicating. I don’t see her doing anything wrong with Bentley. I’m TOTALLY against teasing, and she’s just talking and listening to him. If he was having a problem, he’d really let loose. Sassi not only gets very loud, but totally underfoot when she’s demanding something. Bentley is just telling her something, and it’s probably that he either wants to play, cuddle, or that maybe he’s getting hungry, but NOT being teased.

He’s quite the talker! He seems to have alot to say, happy, sad, playful, and frustrated, because whatever he seems to want (probably food!) isn’t coming his way. I have a new kitten, who named herself “Sassi”, who talks alot, too! I called her by several names and she didn’t respond, until I called the name Sassi, and to that she responded!
