The wife calls her husband in the middle of his busy workday.
Phones are ringing, papers are flying, and he answers with that half-distracted tone every overworked husband knows too well.
“Sorry, honey,” he says, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I really don’t have time to talk right now—things are crazy here.”
She replies calmly, “It’s okay, it won’t take long. I just have two pieces of news for you — one bad, and one good.”
He sighs. “Alright, just give me the good one for now. I need something positive today.”
Her voice brightens. “Well… the airbags in your car that I borrowed this morning work perfectly.”
