Little Johnny is learning fractions in math class…

The teacher asks, “Johnny, how do you say 2 divided by 3 as a fraction?”

Little Johnny replies, “I don’t know.”

“It’s easy,” says the teacher, “you just say the top number and then the bottom number is read as an ordinal number… ”

“For example, 2 divided by 3 is “two-thirds”… ”

“3 divided by 4 is “three-fourths”, and so on.”

“Now, you try it.” says the teacher, “How do you say 4 divided by 8?”

“Should I reduce it first?” asks Little Johnny.

“That would be best,” replies the teacher.

“One-second,” says Johnny…

“Take as long as you need,” says the teacher.
