Scott Nelson and his sons were fishing Saturday when this small whitetail fawn approached them on the South Fork of the Snake River. It must have spent the summer bumming from campers or maybe one the home owners in the lower canyon was feeding it so it lost its fear of humans.
Isn’t this supposed to be hazardous for the ‘wild animal’? Because they might be dependant on humans, and therefore be endangered.I know it is sweet and how can you resist???But….
This appears to be a homegrown fawn. Someone may have just found it when it was little, mother killed, raised it, then turned it loose, as the game people require them to be turned loose.
