Yes this was the best and this video says it all. It’s made my day and now I will phone the friends I still have from that era who will always be there and remember who have already passed. Remember taking the train to Winnipeg Beach and Grand Beach in Manitoba. Never had to worry about theft or road rage everybody was welcome. It didn’t matter what your race was whether you were from another religion or just came over by boat. Everybody was accepted and greeted with food. Through out my years you reach an age when money means nothing but don ‘t take away my memories they mean the world.

I feel sorry for the young people of today, they can never have the experience of the 50’s. Such a great era to have lived through, no hi tech, drugs?? never heard of it. Great friends to this day. I miss it a lot and would go back if possible and do it again. I hate these days of dirty politics, drugs, moral decay etc. I am 82 and know there will never be a time like the 50’s. I esp. miss Saddle shoes 🙂 I went to school every day and loved it. Went to college and loved it. no daily protests of people wanting gimmie, gimmie gimmie without working for it. I had black friends and never thought a thing about it. Yes, I’m a real product of the great 50’s era.

Oh, yes – great times when we were kids – not a care in the world. Mom had to do all the work – iron Dad’s shirts, our dresses (yes, dresses for school), make sure the home was tidy, and diner on time at 5:00, and appear in a dress and hair-do. And if she wanted to go to a show or a museum, she couldn’t drive, because there was only one car and she didn’t know how to drive – not that anyone would teach her. So, we kids loved the time – why don’t you ask the Mom’s of that time if they did? Just rerun those pictures and see what I mean!

I love the 40’s and 59’s music. The dancing was great and it makes me want to get up and dance! This ole body won’t do it anymore but I can enjoy!?

Does anyone else hear background music playing over the 50’S selections?
Otherwise reminds me of my youth…

IThe 50s will always be special for me. Drag racing was always on a Friday or Saturday night. I had a 46 Ford Coupe, Two Carberators. 3/4 racing cam. I know it was foolish now, but I outran the cops one night. Also the Drive-ins, great music, and food.

Loved this. Still have mom’s glass rolling pin for making candy, my 1957 sewing machine from Germany with all the embroidery cams. Better then my other two. My son has mom’s 1966 gold Tornado. Rebuilt and going in for painting. And too many other things to mention. Some things are hard to part with.
Loved the music. Married in ‘56, husband in submarines in Pearl Harbor and went dancing to this music most weekends and to the Ink Spots who wintered there.
