I wish we could go back to those days for some good old times together life was so much simpler then. Great music and fun times everyone was in the same boat. I still wear aprons to clean and cook in thanks for the great memories.

Those were the best days for a kid to be a kid. I went to Flagstaff High School in Flagstaff, Arizona and it was a really good place to grow up in. We had values that the kids don’t have anymore – they probably don’t even know what values are since things have changed so much over the years. We respected our teachers -don’t mean that we liked all of them – but they were our elders and you showed them respect. Not like what goes on in some of the schools today. The music was outstanding -nothing like going to the prom or the sock hop and dancing to all those wonderful songs. We got “grounded” when we disobeyed our parents but we learned from those experiences. You knew who your friends were, who you could really trust with your “deepest” secrets – like who you had a crush on, or who said “hi”to you in between classes! Those could be major happenings in your life! I would love to go back and relive those days just as they were because we will never have anything like them again. I still iron every week (which seems to be a “lost” art nowadays when I talk to some of my friends/neighbors), I still wear an apron when I cook, I still listen to the “oldies but goodies” and remember back to when life was so simple -I’m sure that wasn’t true for my parents who had to provide for me- but for a kid growing up, those were the days! Or as they say “back in the day”! Thanks for reminding me of all the things I miss!

? What a great time to be alive. So much happiness and peace. Unfortunately, this generation would never know what wonderful days we had.
Thank you for the memories.

You are the most wonderful days of my life.. it’s a shame that children growing up today cannot experience those wonderful times when there were no computers no cell phones. People have real conversations with one another neighbors didn’t shut the garage door as soon as I came home we talk to one another. I still have my Betty Crocker cookbook that I received for a wedding shower gift 61 years old.. I love this video so much beautiful memories a beautiful time. Am I one of my favorite songs it started off right from the beginning “ONLY YOU”. I could still feel myself dancing to that song with a wonderful guy I’m one of our open houses that we always had after a football game. Loved it loved it

I loved this, although growing up in the countryside in the UK I didn’t experience very many of the exciting things shown! But I do remember all the music because that did get to us too!
The clothes, the decor of the house and kitchen also crossed the Pond too, but not the cars!
I remember fondly the freedom we had such as playing outside until it was dark or going for bicycle rides with no worry of “ bad people” attacking us.
I feel I was so very lucky to have been a child in the 50’s and then a teenager in the swinging 60’s!
Happy, happy memories !
