Love these tunes. Was a true teenager of the fifties. Turned 13 in 1950. Those were the best of times

Unfortunately, being born in 1951 I didn’t catch the really good times but boy did I enjoy the roller skating ring and all the great memories. Hell, I wasn’t the best student and was disciplined a lot by the nuns. I think my knuckles are still swollen, yes many love taps from a yard stick. Now you can’t raise your voice or touch someone within being sued. I wonder how many yardsticks my parents had to buy. Must have worked – Masters Degree, multiple retirements, perfect wife of 40 years, and a super son & grandchildren.

I loved this, talk about memories some. I LAUGHED,some I got teary eyed and some I sang along with, all the while looking at the screen and see all the things I had from the past.

It does my old heart good to see the old dance routines, if only for the few seconds each appears on screen. It’s hard to remember my being able to move that fast!

That was music not sure what we have now? Either you can’t understand it or it’s sickening to listen too.

Thanks for including me in this–it was great to remember what a great country we have had and the contributions we have been able to make to other countries as well. I’m going to keep this one as long as I can to remember over and over!
Blessings!

The picture of the beach, I believe was Daytona. I was living there during that period up to 1961. What a great time.

My favorite memory growing up was playing in the hay loft of the barn. Sometimes we tried to get each other by hiding in the hay loft and then one of my siblings walked into the barn I would spit on them and they were supposed to think a bird pooped on them. We were very poor and I just love this memory. Jan

Wow! I miss the innocence of those days. It’s hard to imagine that a lot of that stuff isn’t considered “politically correct” now. My comment probably isn’t, either, and I may not get printed. What a wonderful, happy time! We were so lucky to grow up in that era. Have a great life all you baby boomers! There will never be another generation like us!
