Because children were taught right from wrong during the time that these cartoon aired, the actions such as drunkeness were seen as silly behaviors by our generation.
The problem now is that children are not taught at home, and video games have taught violence to the current generation.

Nobody back then was so stupidly sensitive as they are now a days!!
I looked forward to every Saturday morning cartoons!!
Do you know what, I am 63 year old who has held a job, raised my children and, I think, turned out pretty darn good.
These were only made as entertainment and we all knew that!! We all turned out pretty good.
Everybody… find your sense of humor again!!!! Quit being so darned sensitive!!

I agree with you. My sons grew up with The Three Stooges and these great cartoons.
They still do and all are in their 60’s (early)

OK, we start with a drunken stork, so downhill all the way. What have you put in children’s heads with this disgusting behavior?

I am sorry this was ever allowed to air. I hope we have learned by now, what is and what is not appropriate for our children, or is it worse?
