I have a handicapped van with a ramp that comes out the side. I need the extra space that hadicapped spots give me. When I see a car parked without a placard I call the police to ticket them.
I think that handicap spaces are a great thing. Although there are those that do not care. There is that and even worse all over the world. As for Joy; Maybe she has an automatic transmission, and her LEFT leg was broken?
I do the same thing Boyd. If a space is not too far away I use it but if it is way back in the back 40 I use handicap and use my placard. Wish others would do the same thing.
I have a legitimate disability and have a handicap placard however, I
only use it when a regular parking space is not available and a disable
one is. This is a practice I have utilized for the past 13 years.
Temporary disability should be given consideration, (Joy’s leg) however,
I personally would not want to be in same county with someone with a broken leg driving a car!
Give the benefit of the doubt. I once had to park in a handicap spot because I had a broken leg. I did not have a temporary tag nor a disabled plate. I did get a ticket but I went to the police station to explain and they ripped it up. Yes people take handicap spots for convenience but sometimes it is a legitimate excuse.

where do I get my copy of this…I’d love to leave it on the vehicles of those who take advantage of the handicap spaces and have no need for it.
