There was a character in the Dukes of Hazzard called Boss Hogg. I wonder if the writers created him based on Ima’s father.

You were right, Ruby. I looked it up on Yahoo Search. There was only Ima Hogg. She was very beautiful & very talented & smart. I will look forward to reading more about her. I do know someone whose name is Anita & John Pigg. They have a son, Bryan Pigg. In fact, I am related to them. Anita is my first cousin, as her dad, my uncle is my dad’s oldest brother. She was an Engstrom, & now is a Pigg. :^)

My Dad went to school with 2 sisters who were named Ima & Ura Hogg. So sad for them that parents could be so cruel in naming their children that. “Whats your name?” “Ura Hogg.” “What did you call me?” “No, thats my name”. Horrible!

Hate to burst your bubble, Joy. Your dad was pulling your leg as there was no Ura Hogg, only Ima.

This is the rock musician Donald Dunn who just died on May 13 of this year. His nickname was “Duck”. It appears FOX news used his nickname for his last name creating the joke.
