I’d bet that they were in Alaska, or maybe Colorado, since I’ve read that some are trained in Coloraddo for the Iditarod, or whatever. My dog knows better than to try to eat off the table! No way, never! To keep her out of the cat food, I used a covered kitty litter box, facing toward a corner or blocked so she couldn’t steal it. The cats were happy, I was happy and my pooch got used to not being able to steal the cat food. All was peaceful!
Bev: You might want to try my new invention with the plastic container as described above. Now cats and dogs are separated at meal time and off counter tops, tables etc. I love it, and they love it. This way none of the animals get more then their fair share.
Lola, My cats sometimes want to eat the dog’a food and I read somewhere that dog food would make cats go blind. So I’ve been trying to keep them from eating it but really I would think if it would hurt them it would have by now. I will ament I do have trouble keeping the cats off of my table and counters, but I always clean them good with disinfectent before we eat.
You see, I try to refrain from any of my animals being on, near, around the table at all times. Refrain them from the counter tops etc. I love my animals, and a friend of mine suggested something really worthwhile…I have two cats and two dogs. The dogs would always get into the cat food on the floor, so my friend suggested, that I get one of those large plastic see through containers, cut a hole in it large enough for the cats to get through (like the size of a litter box) and put the food towards the back with the lid on. So the dogs don’t get into the cat food (which is really unhealthy for them) and the cats don’t jump on the counters, table tops, etc. for their food. The dogs eat side by side on the floor and never beg me for food at the table. Everyone is happy and sterile.

The dogs are so beautifull but wouldn’t want them at my table either.

The dogs probably behave better than humans.
