Good job, young lady! You and your husband did a great job with Chips Ahoy. But it was obvious that Chips wanted to adopt you two before you 2 realized that about her! I brought a couple of cats back when I went over there to work a couple of times and kept them too. One of them, Miss Mia, didn’t meow, she just made a sound something like am “eek, eek” instead. Never heard another cat make a sound like that. Kept all of those cats until they passed away of old age. They were all black cats and all were great companions. Never regretted bringing them back.

    Keep up the great work!

Our dog Foxie is a rescue. She loved me in no time at all but wouldn’t go near my husband and we tried to understand why. She would bark at him if came near me and she would sit at my feet. I just knew she had been abused by a large man (my husband is large) who most likely also abused a woman that she tried to protect. It took almost a year for her to be comfortable with my husband and now they’re thick-as-thieves. Have patience. The rewards are great. She’s been with us now for 12 wonderful years.

How heart warming it is to see another human who will take the time and energy to retrieve a “dumb” animal fron the depths of despair evidenced by Chips fear and mistrust of her “human”, when it remains obvious that all of her previous experience displays the horrible mistreatment she had to endure.

Thank you to her forever family for the love they have displayed and to Chips “you Go Girl”
