Things are different now and for the most part tattoos are more acceptable. I know personally if I need help for me or my family and someone is the best person to help me… then I don’t care if they had a zebra print tattoo for a face. I won’t turn someone away or put someone down for wanting to express them self in their own way. Personally I think that anyone willing to decorate themselves with their art and ideas should be respected more because they do it knowing that there are a lot of people out there that are going to judge them for it.
This picture goes to show you that you don’t have to be a thug, biker or inmate to have tattoos. It is after all 2012 not 1955.
I’m in law enforcement and I have two arms and two sleeves done in black ink. I am an honest man who works hard and has a huge heart.

Take your time when picking out your tats is very very true though.

Quite honestly, people with tattoos don’t get them for your approval. We get them because they symbolize important people or places or events, or because they’re simply beautiful. nobody really cares to hear your opinion on tattoos, especially if it’s negative. Why even make a comment?

I’ve been a nurse 20 years. Patients comment that tattoos look dirty and they don’t like for certain people
to give them care. It’s just the way it is.

Before nursing, I was a juvenile parole officer. Kids leaving a “gang” wanted tattoo removal. It was lazer surgery and most painful.

So, Chili, don’t rush. Make your decision with wisdom.

    Hi Chilliminnie,
I’ve got a tattoo that’s covered up. It’s over my right breast. When people ask if I’ve got a tattoo I tell them yes. But they can only see it by invitation only…Hahaha.
I work in a bank and I will tell you that they do want them covered up. Please note that the doctor had his covered as well. I spent many years in the medical field before going into the field of finance.
So please make your choices pertaining to tattooing wisely.

hi chilli…i just went and read about tattoo removal, and how it says that 50% wish they hadn’t got them…especially those that would like a more professional job, such as in a bank…if you want a tattoo, why not have it on a more secluded area such as the shoulder? my daughter did have a dolphin tattooed on her lower back…other than loving dolphins, i don’t know why she did it, lol..it was painful and they are painful to remove, even by laser…so think carefully honey ….best of everything to you…:)

FYI I too have very little ink myself. Maybe one day I’ll get more.
