    Looks like a good idea, but if it was raining real hard the whole car and occupants could get really wet inside.

    This appears to be very nice, efficient, and classical. A question or two I would need to pose is what about driving in snow, slush, and water, which would be above the floor level? Would this have a tendency to build grit and dirt in the lower carrier, which would scratch and destroy the door mechanism, and paint? Perhaps even have rust build up in the mechanism? It would be something to look into.
