These people were infringing in moose territory so they had to accept the consequences.

You were chasing it down the trail before it finally stopped. It did what it instinctually does. I don’t think the moose was at fault here. You should have slowed way down and let her keep running. I live in MT. We encounter moose while XC skiing often.

Wow, that was a close encounter. I’m glad no one got hurt. The moose probably was chase before by them on the trail and was tired of running from them. I pray the moose gets well.
