What extraordinary talent! He is so natural and self-assured in public. Hope to hear more playing by him.

Wow ! What a blessing ! He used his Godgiven gift to while away boredom and in the process pass this blessing onto others instead of getting into mischief ! This is the best way for his parents to know where he is !

This youngster is great and perhaps someday he will hit the big time. Buy him a piano so he can play all the time for his folks. They can hear the gift of music this kid has. Wonderful.

Once again, anyone who, at his age, can play that well more than likely already has a piano at his disposal 24/7. IMHO

Eat your heart out, Lang Lang! In age where kids seem to be Nintendo-Facebook-smartphone-Whatsapp-computer-game obsessed, it’s refreshing to see that genuine enthusiasm, talent and achievement have some future. Three of my grandchildren play the piano (not at this level!) and it’s always a pleasure to listen to them.

The kid has Continental education. I can bet his parents are hungarian or romanian, because the song is hungarian rapsody very well known on european artistic circle. Bravo and good luck.

Wow! Now there’s a major assumption. I played Beethoven when I was his age, and I am definitely NOT from Germany, and I got my education in Indiana!

The music is entitled simply “Czardas” (pron. char’ dash), a Hungarian dance form actually used at one point as an army recruiting tool, and this one was composed by the Italian Vittorio Monti. But given its tempo and style, it can easily be confused with the various Hungarian rhapsodies and dances of Liszt, Brahms, and other eastern European composers.

Um, what makes you think he doesn’t already HAVE a piano? Playing that well at that age is a major clue that he’s had a lot more practice than what one would get on a piano for sale at a store! IMHO

Thank you for your comments Yal … This video was recorded without our knowledge in the fall of 2012 at our local Costco , I found the video on Yahoo’s main page when it went viral last in February of 2014. Costco did not stage the event, it was a rare day to have the whole family out shopping on a Sunday afternoon.
