You do realize that since you have this dog screaming (and you are doing it just for fun), but a day will come when he is screaming and you think its the normal behavior and learn later he is actually in pain and it may be too late. Sorry I don’t agree with this video, you’re not being realistic by training him this way. Why not train him how to save a life (maybe yours), as I have trained my two dogs whereas they have saved my life three times. If I’m unconscious and don’t respond to ADT medical alert, my dog runs to the machine when ADT calls in and says “mama, mama.” ADT knows to call the police/paramedics. Think about that.

Sorry but I don’t think this is a bit funny. The stupid owners are encouraging poor Cody to “howl” just by repeatedly saying his name so stupidly. He now and forever will associate anyone saying his name as a cue to howl. I have done courses in animal behaviour, simply to better myself as a pet owner and this isn’t “acceptable” behaviour. As someone said, it probably grates on him and that is his reaction….not fair to him!!

I think that Karen is spot on as Cody does not like the way that his name is called. It is high-pitched, and I think that it hurts his ears. Awe….:)

The way they are saying Cody is irritating to his ears and that is his way of responding to the sound. I had a neighbor who owned a mix lab and that poor thing did not like the emergency vehicles to drive by with the sirens blaring. He would come out of the house and then sit smack dab in the middle of the yard and just howl.

Now this is one funny dog. I’m a pet sitter for people and if any dog was screaming like that with me, I probably would take it to the vet. LOL, what a trip. His tail is wagging, so he’s not in pain, wonder what is going on in his head?? However, sometimes I just feel like screaming to let my frustrations out, but I don’t as I don’t want to be taken away and put in a straight jacket….Lol
