Classical Orchestra Eating the Worlds Hottest Chili Peppers
What happens when you make the musicians of the Danish National Chamber Orchestra eat the world’s hottest chili peppers and have them play Jacob Gade’s ‘Tango Jalousie’? Let’s find out! 😀
What did you think of their performance under such extreme circumstances? Please tell us in the comment section below.

I Love the music but why did they have to eat that hot pepper while playing?Maybe it will make them awake? All of them have teary eyes . Good thing they have no audience.

What was the purpose of this? I have no idea. For them to keep on playing is insane. The capsaicin in the peppers can do esophageal damage and also stomach lining damage if you aren’t used to them. Sorry but I was not amused. I see nothing funny about putting their health at risk just for a stupid video. Hopefully they had some milk in the back to cancel out the hotness.

Also to add to my comment, What in the world were the video producers thinking of giving them Habaneros to eat? That pepper is able to eat a hole in the stomach or the esophagus!!! *SMH*

The conductor should simply have given each of them a sugar cube before they started playing. Each musician could have taken it when they reached the point of not return, and all would have ended well.

I love clasical music, but this experiment proved NOTHING. The music was as good or maybe even better, but why put up with those tears and agony!

I believe if any of the musicians didn’t want to participate they wouldn’t have to. I see no gun held to anyone’s head. One person’s idea of funny may not be the same of another. Would I do it? NO! But its their right to do so if they wish.

First of all, I totally agree with the other two comments. It’s inane and silly. They are polished musicians, not in an endurance contest to see who can eat something that not everyone likes or can tolerate. I have no idea how most of them carried it as far as they did!

I think, believe, and am appalled by this test. I’m a musician and singer myself, and, I can’t eat anything spicy because of health reasons. How many of these artists became ill afterwards? How many will return to this particular orchestra and continue playing. This in my opinion wasn’t funny and totally uncalled for!!!! If I were any of these artists, got sick and ended up in the hospital/doctors, the person (conductor) would be paying for all my medical, doctor bills and possibly a law-suit. This is one of the worse 1funny.com e-mails that I have seen, and I’m surprised that you would allow this to happen on your site. Very poor taste!!! Pardon the pun.
