Classic 1954 Ford Woody Restoration
This is the story of my year-long restoration of a classic pickup truck — a 1954 Ford F100 Woody — from junkyard salvage to mint condition. The engine and chassis were replaced with a 1991 Chevrolet Suburban to give the truck a modern base and extra long bed frame — perfect for hauling wooden canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. After the body work and paint job I restored every detail of the vintage truck interior including a wooden steering wheel, wood veneer headliner, end grain cedar floormats, a bed build out with reclaimed cedar, pine, real and mahogany, an oak wine barrel ice chest /cooler, and custom upholstered calfskin leather bucket seat, door panels and sun visors. No detail was left untouched. Let me know any questions in the comment section below, or any other videos you want to see in the future! What did you think?
