And that’s how they know you are going to take them to the vet and they hide some where in the house but you’ll never find them until they allow it. It is so hard to out smart your pets!
Don’t forget animal ESP. within a certain range, animals can psi-link with their master/mistress & know what their people know. That’s how they know when their people are coming home.
Pinky, I agree with you. I have two cats and two dogs. Well their sense of smell is unbelievable, especially the dogs (two lab/chow/miniature collies.) The other day I took two dog bones out of a plastic wrap, and put it on my jewelry box to give as treats when they came in from their outing. Anyway, the jewelry box is in my bedroom, when unleashed they flew up the stairs to my room, and me not thinking twice about it, came upstairs about three minutes later. I couldn’t find the bones anywhere, and I had to take a few steps back wondering “did I or did I not put out two bones?” They looked innocent etc., big brown eyes looking up at me. Sure enough, not only did they take their bones, but were sitting on it with their paws so I wouldn’t see it. And my cats gave the secret away, by crawling under both dogs with their bones. So yes, they (cats and dogs) do have incredible smells.
Lola take it from an 8 cat Mom. You can’t hide cat food anyplace but inside the fridge. Cats have an incredible sense of smell and will track it down if possible.

Hey, I thought you put the cat food on top of the fridge just so I wouldn’t get into it. Where did you hide it?
