Breathtaking Footage of Half a Billion Butterflies
Up to half a billion monarch butterflies lie sleeping having overwintered in Mexico. As winter ends and spring arrives, the sun warms their wings and the forest comes to life as a cascade of butterflies take flight! Robot Spy Hummingbird is right there in the heart of the spectacle. Really something to see, I have been there then before, It seem unbelievable so many would come to one place, Thre are a few other places they also gather and I have seen at least 3 different locations where they gather it is a wonder to see.

What a beautiful sight to see. We attract the Monarch Butterfly with cone flowers in the garden for them to feed. They need lots of stored up energy to make the flight to Mexico from Toronto.
Thanks for sharing. May a gentle breeze help them along the way.

How wonderful/amazing and beautiful!!! I am a retired teacher and every year I would get a chrysalis in my classroom and watch this miracle of nature emerge and then we would release the Monarch to make its journey to Mexico! Thank you for this great footage…wish I had it 19 years ago!

Amazing my son was there when they arrived in Mexico, he thought they were paper flying around, someone told him they were butterflies, now he is there when they leave.
