My husband turned me on to Eva Cassidy about 20 years ago and she remains my favourite. Such a beautiful, soulful voice.

Pure beauty. Seeing that she has passed really saddens me. I never knew of her until now. So glad we had her here on earth for the time she was here.

I first discovered Eva when I watched the Tim Allen movie, Joe Somebody, which closed with Eva’s amazing rendition of Over the Rainbow. I searched the internet to find any CD’s she had done and ordered them. Melanoma took her in 1996 at the age of 33. She had a great voice and style but was not well known outside of her hometown.

Eva was taken from this world too soon. I found out about her about 20 + years ago & bought every CD I could. Her Somewhere Over the Rainbow version makes my cry every time I hear it. Beautiful and beautiful talent, as well. May she RIP
