coyote, skunk, raccoon, possum, rabbit, snake, falcon or hawk, hummingbird, chickadees or sparrows, all coexisting within the same region! Are they the ultimate example of the coexist bumper sticker?!

During one of our famous recent California droughts, I left a pan of water on top of a little table on the patio. I went back inside and about a minute later the blue jays were there and of course, in typical blue jay fashion, wouldn’t share. Some mockingbirds went to battle with them and while that was going on other birds bellied up to the water bar. This year they don’t even wait for me to leave the patio: they are drinking and splashing regardless of whatever else is going on as soon as I fill up the pan. I’m pondering what enlargement of the drinking/splashing pan I can make. Such a simple thing for so much joy.

Are they the ultimate example of the coexist bumper sticker?! The music theme song could be “Come Together” by the Beatles, or “Wade in the Water” by The Staples Singers! 🙂 Neat video!

What a wonderful oasis that turned out to be if that’s not what they had intended of doing. It helps so many different animals, birds and even snakes. I liked the pool party that was going one with all those little birds. I was just waiting for the music to start. Such a great idea makes me want to do the same thing.
