    @ Joy and Ruby,
Yes he is very big, but in a muscular way. But no, he is not a Maine Coon and not fat. Like I said he is tall, he can stand at the kitchen counters and very easily reach whatever he wants. His and Buffy’s mommy was a Tortie, have no idea what their fathers were. Buffy looks more like a Maine Coon, long hair and cream color but much smaller then her brother at only 14 lbs. Knuckles’ vet says he has the appearance of a Russian Blue, the body shape of a Savannah, and the characteristics of a Chartreuse. He is gray with a couple small white patches on chest and two white toes. His vet wants him for his own, dream on doc!!!

Very interesting, Pam. Those are all large cats, especially the Savannah only I’ve never seen a gray one. I’m assuming Knuckles is gray based on the other two comparisons. Does he meow? The Chartreux doesn’t.

Actually the Chartreuse (I know misspelled, but most have not even heard of this breed. So I spell it like it sounds) is a medium sized cat. As I said, Knuckles is gray, a blue gray just like the Russian Blue and “Char”. The Savannah is very tall, that is the only trait of the Savannah that compares to Knuckles. Knuckles is tall like the Savannah, has many characteristics of the “Char” and Russian Blue, but looks most like the Russian Blue. Very slender defined face with green eyes, where the “Char” has more orange or copper colored eyes and they are short and muscular. Knuckles speaks very little like the “Char,” and very muscular like them. The “Char” does tend to be a very quiet cat and some are indeed actually mute. That is not always the case though. Knuckles will play fetch and he and his sister LOVES to play in water. In fact he has the same “water-resistant” fur like the “Char.” Almost as though he is coated with Scotch Guard, water just rolls off him. He also follows me everywhere, but then again so does his sister. Knuckles is a very handsome kitty (which is why our vet wanted him I suppose), and so is his litter mate sister. But they are so totally different, he is short hair double coat and blue/gray while she is long hair and cream colored. But they are both just my sweet little mutts. They will be having their 12th birthday on May 7th. Sorry for rattling on, but I do LOVE my fur babies!

Cats like high perches. Pam W may have a Maine coon cat. They are very big cats. Even so, 32 lbs is a fat cat! To Lola, cats are quite smart and clever at figuring out things.

Pam W., you have a cat that is TALL?!? Weighs 32#’s?! That must be one BIG cat!!! I also think this is a clever way for cats to have individual beds. Cool idea.

That is brilliant! My Buffy would LOVE that! Her brother Knuckles would be chicken plus I would need really HEAVY DUTY support for the shelves!! He’s very tall and 32 lbs!!

I’m surprised that the cat figured it out that it was a bed made especially for him. My cat tries to sleep on my head at night by the air-conditioner. This gave me an idea of how to resolve my bad situation.
