The penny scale really brought back some memories when I was about 5 years old (1943). Lived in outskirts of Taylorville, Illinois. There was an old unused railroad track that ran by our house to about a block away from the town square in Taylorville. Probably a couple of miles. I use to walk that track from home to downtown with that penny in my pocket just to weigh myself and get that fortune ticket. Wow. Do I miss those times. Anyone who was raised during that period was blessed by the Big Man (God) himself.

I would love if I could visit and spend time at his Roadside Museum. Seeing those things really brings back memories of growing up in a small town during the 50’s and 60’s. I grew up in a wonderful time. ?
