Mary is an amazing lady still living independently in her own home and living longer than her son which would be so sad. I’m in my early 50’s and have friends in their 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. We’ve laughed, cried, had the most interesting conversations and I haven’t learnt so much from them. I hope Mary lives as long as she likes healthy & happy. This video had me teary eyed because of Mary and Benjamin’s wonderful friendship.

beautiful story……………..I used to walk 3 miles up the road until one day I stopped to say “hello” to a lady…..98 years old using her walker.
We talked about all sorts of things………now I walk with her (near 99) and we talk about the Cubs and life and death. I am a “young” 75. I drive her
to pick up medicine, food, library book when her daughter (65) isn’t available. I am currently “teaching” her how to play poker.
But that story was precious. Old people are not valued like they used to be. They die of loneliness.
