1962 – My first date with – at that time in my life, my first true love – and dancing to “Moon river” her favorite song . And I still love her today. Then four days latter, after finding my fathers name in a phone book in San Diego Ca – meeting him for the first time, in Peoria Il –
Also, I’ll never forget the trip to about 500 miles north- north-east of Hawaii to be part of a picket-line to ‘MAYBE” pluck John Glen out of the ocean (I was in the navy) NASA thought they knew where he would come down – BUT JUST IN CASE ! he came down where he was suppose to and the picket line went home
– Married my first wife in 6 66 and had three children in one year (5 67 – 5 68)
