Background music is too loud. Can hardly hear what the narrator is saying. Who is responsible for this?

I used to write commercials for radio and TV. I noticed over and over before I started that for years, what appeared on the radio fought the commercial with background music. One of my co-writers would come in the morning, go to the closet where we had a record player, put it on and it would play all day…irritating. Also, every one of her commercials had music that was too loud. A sponsor doesn’t pay for this. Keep the music as just what it says ‘Background music,” not to the forefront to fight the sponsor’s message.

ever take music lessons? stand up straight..used lungs for balance of tones..tones.. not noise. breath softly… learn notes do ra me so la . music scale.
todays group don’t appear to know notes of music or use them..do not know to stand still and sing so voice is heard.
best music is sweet. words that make sense to all..and not just a bunch of foolish gibberish .
. ever hear Spike Jones? it was noise but music…and funny.
Even silly songs were notes and sounds of good.

Turn down the music I can barely hear the voices. It should be background music not background voices.
