2-year Old Baby Sings To Elvis Presley Song
We occasionally do karaoke downstairs using YouTube and my audio interface. One time, this Elvis song came on autoplay and my wife sang it. The next day, Daniel was humming the melody, so I picked up a guitar and played/sang it for him. A few days later, my little guy (who at that time barely even talked) was belting out the words (as long as I was singing along). This video is his first time trying to sing it by himself. A very moving moment for our family that I hope you can similarly enjoy.
Here is some interesting tidbits about the song:
“Fools Rush In” is a popular song that has been recorded by numerous artists, but it was made famous by Elvis Presley in 1960. What’s interesting about this song is that it was actually written for the 1940 movie “When Angels Fall” by lyricist Johnny Mercer and composer Rube Bloom. However, it wasn’t until the 1950s that the song gained popularity when it was recorded by a number of artists, including Peggy Lee and Brook Benton.
Elvis Presley’s version of “Fools Rush In” was recorded on March 25, 1960, and was released as a single the following month. It reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became a staple in his live performances. The song features Elvis’ signature smooth vocals, accompanied by a lush orchestral arrangement.
What’s also interesting is that Elvis actually recorded two versions of the song, with slightly different arrangements. The first version, which was recorded on March 22, 1960, features a more stripped-down arrangement with just a piano and a guitar. This version was later released on the album “Elvis is Back!” in 1960, and is often referred to as the “take 10” version. The more famous version, with the orchestral arrangement, is often referred to as the “take 14” version, as it was recorded later that same day.

So precious! He’s a good singer and I can’t believe knows the words to the song. I did have a little chuckle. Sounds like he’s saying,”I can’t help falling in bed with you.”

Precisions child .. I believe is a sweet little boy. Not a ‘she’ child, but a sweet little ‘he’ child! The dad playing his guitar often referred to his child as ‘he’ …. Unless I’m hearing it incorrectly? But, I don’t think so. Charming and sweet memory of his solo performance that will be cherished for years! Luck baby boy being honored by his parents…. This little child is truly loved!
Lucky baby boy! … And lucky Mom and Dad to have this little video forever!
Loved the video, and loved this sweet child’s performance …. The first of many to come I’m certain.
