I am 68 years old and I really enjoyed this, including the piano music. I’m from Columbus, Ohio and it doesn’t matter. These things were all over
the place. I’m glad you included that picture of the serviceman returning to his excited family. It deserved to be lingered over. I have never seen a Piggly Wiggley and never heard of them till later movies and books.

I remember many of those, though not all. They were great times!

Great selection of photos! The very last photo of ‘Vietnam Homecoming’ stayed on the screen a few seconds longer than the previous ones, and left a lasting impression. Thanks for another enjoyable ’60s nostalgic video.

Love this website, and the nostalgia posts, but basically like everything, I just wish it was easier to email or forward a post like this one, so people could appreciate it and subscribe themselves

things were less complicated for most people and the simple things of life were great especially the drive in theatre, how many people tried to drive of with the speaker attached to their window????

The 50s-60s generation was the best of times.
