Lighten up, Rose, pumpkins can be anything you want them to be and this guy is showing off his talent which I applaude. Besides, pumpkins are identified with Halloween and Halloween is identified with terror in the night which this guy is showing by the new monsters-ZOMBIES!

Do they have to be so hideous? Fortunately Halloween is not very big in Australia but the retail industry are pushing for this anti Christian habit. Also it is the wrong season although pumpkins keep through till spring.

Come on people, don’t take the fun out of Halloween. I’m 75 years young and I still enjoy scarying people. I’ve dressed up as a witch for years…..

People: Halloween was originally for the SAINTS (All Hallows Eve)
The pumpkin carving started from making lanterns out of
TURNIPS (in other countries). In the U.S. they used pumpkins
because of their plentitude. Thus the word Jack O LANTERN.
People became creative with their carvings.
The dressing up in costumes also has a history. Once again
people became creative. As time progressed, Halloween (just
like Christmas & Easter) picked up the PAGAN attitude.
Now, Halloween is celebrated as a SPOOKY night. I can enjoy
the festivities and sights at Halloween: a good thriller
movie, jack o lanterns, and dressing up, but never allow it
to affect any true celebration in my heart. The same is true
about Santa Claus vs the BIRTH OF OUR LORD and the Easter
Bunny vs THE CRUCIFIXION OF OUR LORD.
I appreciate your comments and agree on many levels.

  12. Agreeing with Margaret and Joy; still it is creative, clever and appropriate to the season. Wonderful props, as well as detailed. Thanks for sharing…
