The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about whether you want the ‘politicians’ spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of it’s releases.

A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D.
A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E.
A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain…

is presently asking Congress for 250 BILLION DOLLARS to rebuild New Orleans .. Interesting number… what does it mean?

Well… if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, and child) you each get $516,528.

Or… if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C..
Or… if you are a family of four… your family gets $2,066,012.
Imagine, now $700 billion bailing out banks in theUS. That’s enough to fund complete medical care for every man, woman and child currently alive in the US for 11 years!!

Wish I knew their addresses,I think every one in congress needs to digest this information.
I also think every one in the Washington Government,from the president to the janitors(they are most likely kin to someone in administration)needs to be fired.Then send a group of honest looking faces to go outside washington d.c. and hire all new people at random.I think our chances of getting this country back on its feet and going straight would be much better.P S I didn’t show too much respect for the Nations Capitol,because I cannot respect what is in it.

So now comes the hard part – finding honest looking faces. Go one step better – vote them out of office – OR — make them accountable for every dollar they spend (we as taxpayers) have that right -it’s OUR money and OUR government – lets take it back from the crooks that are in office.

I don’t use credit cards, I don’t have a job, not that I am not looking, but I can’t seem to get any kind of assistance from my state or federal government because I don’t have any illegetimate children or imigrants living with me. Would be nice if I could just get enough of my taxes back to pay my electric bill!!

A lot of this is b*llshi* i’m reading. How can most of you blame people who have been in office only a 100 days or less for the way the economy is. BUSH was in office 8 years and created this mess but who’s blaming him? No one. So now the world critizes a guy who is at least trying to help. Some of you guys priorities are mixed up and you are stuck in the past. Get off from behind the BUSHES and give the guy a chance. If BUSH f**ked it up in 8 years, how can another man fix it in less than 6 months? P.S., Debbie did you do the same background check on G.W. Bush as you did on Obama, or are you just really stupid?
