True Stories From The Butterball Turkey Hotline
True Stories From The Butterball Turkey Hotline
(where people call to get advice how to cook a turkey from the experts)

* Thanksgiving Dinner on the run. A woman called 1-800-323-4848 to find out how long it would take to roast her turkey. To answer the question, the Talk-Line home economist asked how much the bird weighed. The woman responded, “I don’t know, it’s still running around outside.”
* Tofu turkey? No matter how you slice it, Thanksgiving just isn’t Thanksgiving without turkey. A restaurant owner in California wanted to know how to roast a turkey for a vegetarian menu
* Then there’s the time a lady was picking through the frozen turkeys at the grocery store, but couldn’t find one big enough for her family. She asked a stock boy, “Do these turkeys get any bigger?” The stock boy replied, “No ma’am, they’re dead.”

It’s kind of hard to mess up cooking a turkey. That is if you don’t drop it in the middle of taking it out in the middle of cooking it!HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE & GOD BLESS YOU ALL. LENA BELLE
Food for thought; May all have a great & HAPPY THANKSGIVING & DON’T FORGET WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO GET UP,TAKE THAT FIRST BREATH. MAY GOD BLESS AND KEEP EVERYONE. GOD DOESN’T MOVE “WE DO”
At least I know enough not to try to speed cook my bird on the cleaning cycle of my oven, haha.

I like to read the directions for cooking a turkey that kids write. They print them in our local paper and these kids have some interesting ideas. Hope you all had a good and filling Thanksgiving.
I had a real nice Thanksgiving. I did the turkey & dressing, my sister-in-law did the rest & my mother-in-law did the sweet potato casserole & desserts. There was 10 of us. Everyone raved on my dressing! The sweet potato casserole had bourbon in it. Everything was good & I was stuffed afterwards. Then we took home left overs. There was just a wee bit of dressing left. It ended up with one of my brothers called from OR & I talked to my oldest son in Alaska. A very good day!
