    takes me back to the day when we had a train (Nancy Hanks) running from here (Savannah,Ga) to Atlanta,Ga. Of course the Nancy Hanks didn’t look like the train in this picture! But those were the good old days

    yep i have a fuzzy memory about seeing that photo before or maybe it was in one of those old 1920′s movies that used to pop up every now and again a few years back on T C M channel!!!!

    if you look closely at the bottom you will find some printing – there is what looks like a 1890 or something – maybe a year – yes it is blurry on one side which is called not as technologically advance focusing as what we have on today’s camaras. Have you ever looked at a train after it has plowed into and drug a vehicle for a ways down a track? Not much damage to the train compared to the vehicle that was hit! Why do so many people get so quick to think everything is Photoshopped?

      Thanks for the link. I remember of the train wreck in Washington D.C. Union Station, but that involved a diesel engine.

    Thank you Jean, amazing story. Am glad I got to see this beautifull old train. I collect engines especially and do have lots. Yes, they are small, not real, lol
