Probably exciting for someone living in the South who never get to see snow. For people living up north, this is a very common sight. Every day stuff. I remember going up Pike’s Peak in Colorado Springs on the Cog Railway the day after 2 ft. of snow fell on it. A train had to plow a canyon through it to clear it, leaving walls 8-10 ft high of snow on either side. All the snow that fell on the upper part of the mountain blew and fell below to the lower slopes, leaving about 10 feet of snow that had to be plowed through. A family from Florida was in my car, having a blast, reaching out the windows, pulling in snow to make snow balls for a snowball fight inside the train car. THAT was a sight I’ll never forget. That was in 1961, unfortunately before video cameras were invented.

This was Great! Thrilling and scary at the same time. I, too, thought the last few cars, pickups that went across were not being careful. No way would that train be able to stop if one of them got stalled on the tracks, signal or no signal.
