I have heard of a cat that would urinate in the commode if you left the lid up.

I had a cat one time that would go pee-pee in the toilet. I didn’t try to teach him to do this he just started doing it on his own. Sure saved on kitty litter.

My parents had a Pekingese that couldn’t jump up on the toilet but went next to it anytime He could not get out. He knew what the ‘potty’ was for.

Just flush it & watch him/her leave, fast.

Not always … once had a cat that liked to play in the water while it flushed. I thought it was probably unsanitary and did my best to keep the lid closed. Not everyone in the house followed my lead so he got to play from time to time … when I wasn’t around.
