I have a different take on this. From my experience, it appears that the owner is scratching or rubbing a very itchy area that the cat can’t reach. My cat once got a bad flea infestation, and she couldn’t reach the area at the base of her spine, just above her tail. When I scratched her there, she mimed the biting she would be doing if she could reach, and vocalized this way, too. She also seemed somewhat relieved afterwards. Imagine an itch you can’t reach, and then someone scratching it for you.

Do not like this….to me it looks obvious that someone has put this cat down inside something it can’t get out of and more obvious THE MINUTE THE CAT LICKS ITS FUR IT STARTS CRYING AND TRYING TO GET WHATEVER IT LICKED OFF OF ITS TONGUE. I would consider checking this out for animal abuse.

Cindy – I totally agree. It certainly IS the pet owner’s business if they choose to allow bad behavior. Sorry if I stepped on your sensitive “kitty toes”. That’s the problem with these types of sites. You only get part of the story and some times the issue would be best discussed with only two people, and not the entire viewing public. I stand corrected. Thank you.

I,also, have a cat that thins she is the “queen” of the house. Trouble is, she’s just spoiled. And, I have made her that way. So, any pet owner that allows their pet to be the “boss” is their business. I love animals and they are good company.
