    My sister used a stretched out slinky to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeder. They were too scared to climb it. She had one that would get into the squirrel feeder she had and let the top close over on him and just sit and eat until he was done. Worked really good when it was raining! At least he stayed dried while eating the food. lol

    Ive done this before when the chipmunks and squirrels kept attacking my bird feeders.
    It’s so funny to watch. After a while, you’d see them rub their paws in the dirt for better traction!

    That was funny but I felt a little bad for the squirrel. Not bad enough that I won’t try the Vaseline trick myself though. lol
