      Ditto times many …..

Is there sometime curled up to the little fox? Thanks Lin for the ID. I thought it was a coyote kid.

Sorry, Liz. Gave Lin the credit for your fox identification.

No problem, Ruby! At first glance, I thought it was a coyote, but then I looked at that sweet, little face. Night before last the coyotes were not far away, and yipping up a storm. My neighbor called her cat in right away! Two Novembers ago, a mama mountain lion came to my gate in the RV park I live at, using her baby to coax my dog to the fence. Had I not gone out and rounded her and my cat up, one or both would have been dinner! When I bent over, turning my back to the gate, not knowing WHAT had my critters so freaked, she let out her howl/growl, and I realized that she was NOT happy with me, and I didn’t know until that moment, that we were her intended meal for her and her offspring (there were two). Now, my dog waits at our door, sniffs the air to make sure she’s safe, before going out into the yard, especially at night. Scary!
But, we’ve moved into THEIR territory, and it’s not their fault, to come down from the higher mountains for water and food, before the rains come.

Do you notice the big dog has red around its nose & mouth? Its part of the dog, but it looks like someone got busy with lipstick & rubbed it on good! I think its cute the fox cuddled up to be nice & warm.
