I don’t like them myself. They smack like that because they don’t really eat normal but slobber. They have got in the catfood here & slobber is all over it. They’re nasty. Sorry, folks. I don’t like them!

I’ve had several for pets. They were babies. They were sweet but, don’t think I would have grown ones. 😉

They’re cute when young but never saw a grown one. I’ve only seen one in the middle of the night on back stoop.

That’s the first thing I noticed (his smacking) . He needs to learn some manners! Lol! I never heard of anyone having a pet possum. Enjoy him while he’s little cuz when he gets bigger he’ll be off to the woods

Imagine what a bunch of those critters could do to a strawberry patch.

yeah HE’S CUTE- but otherwise I’ve never seen a CUTE possum. And as a pet? hmmm. What little I know about them is that sure enough will tear a cats’ eyes up- that happened to one of our cats many years ago. Messed up her 3rd eyelid (or whatever). Anyway she had to go around for about a week with her eye sewn shut with a button holding it in place til the vet took it off. Lord did you see those fingers on him?!

What a cute little animal. I never realized that possums don’t blink like most other animals do. How unusual.
