    That little girl is too cute. The horse is so well behaved. I don’t think that horse would hurt the little girl, the horse would keep safe. Besides the Dad was right there, very watchful the whole time. We need more cute like that, maybe they should be on the news, instead of …….

    That video is scary – not adorable. The horse may be very quiet but, if it was suddenly spooked, could seriously injure the little girl. Even at a very young age, a child should be taught to exhibit safe behavior around horses. A horse should be led from the side, near the shoulder (never directly in front) and the lead rein should be held correctly so that neither the child nor the horse can become entangled in it. I have been involved with horses for over 65 years and, as a very young member of the Pony Club (a world-wide youth organization) that was one of the first lessons I was taught. I can only hope that there is a knowledgeable horseman close to the family who can give them some good advice.
