The manufacturer should hire my wife…..to test it out…..to be sure it is “idiot proof..” I guarantee …that if it can be made to fly backward….or upside down…. SHE can do it ! If SHE can fly it and bring it back in one piece…. it is ready for the general public…

This is a newer and improved version of the AEROCAR ….featured on the BOB CUMMINGS SHOW in the 1950’s….. The safety factor is dependent upon the skill of the pilot and the number of other flying objects in your airspace…( drones, other planes, helicopters trees. mountains. power lines…) I want to know what amount do they consider “affordable ” $30,000 ? ( I could do that ) $ 50,000 ? ( maybe ) $100,000 ? ( don’t think so )

I would love to have one. I remember one from the Fiftys that had a trailer for the wings and such. But this one is complete as is.

Lola. The wings were attached to the car and you had to raise them manually. It was a push prop in the rear of the car and I recall braces that attached to the fuselage to support the wings.

Lola: GOOGLE AEROCAR, the idea has been around since 1949.

Raymond…I hate to ask, but, knowledge is the best medicine and idealistic. So, if Popular Mechanics had mentioned it decades ago, and one would have to manually set up the wings, why are we just learning about this now? Is this the only flying car, or, did I miss something in the translation of a flying car? Is there more than one that exists? Is there somewhere on the internet where we can go in for more information? I would appreciate any input, because if it just means putting wings on a car manually, maybe I can talk to a few mechanics I know and see if I can get my car to fly. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?

It has been some years since I owned my own Plane and I am now 72, but I think I WOULD begin flying once again with this Car/Plane. Is there any information on this??

Lola: It could have been in Popular Mechanics also. In those days you had to manually set up the wings.

    Raymond:

Then why is it only being brought to the surface now? If Popular Science magazine posted this decades ago, we would have heard about it on the news or somewhere before the internet era. I still want one!!!!

This concept has been around for quite a few years. I remember reading about it in a Popular Science magazine decades ago.

I agree with you Lola. It would be cool just to be able to ride and fly in one! I like the sport design it has and the interior. This is a great video to final see a real flying car!!

I would love to have a flying car!!! It’s a lot safer than being on the road in this day and age, worrying about road rage, drunk drivers, etc. As long as I had a GPS to let me know when I’ve reached my destination I would give anything if I could have this. It also is a lot safer traveling with one or two people than a plane full of people that might be terrorists etc. Not having to worry about health issues. oh what a great dream to own this. If I could afford the insurance (WHICH I’M CERTAIN IS A BUNDLE) wow, this is just awesome and wonderful, peaceful, serene. I want one!!!!! Kudos to the person that invented it.
