    Wow! I`ve gotten eggs that size from our chickens, but never have I seen a fully developed egg with a hard shell inside another egg! But didn`t it seem like he already knew what as inside? 🙂

    A egg that big looks like it got to be twins. I wonder if the egg would of hatch?

      Not without a rooster fertilizing it, it wouldn’t. A chicken laying an egg is like a woman having her monthly. If it doesn’t mate with a rooster the egg won’t hatch.

    Found one like this (almost 5″) babysitting a friend’s place while they were out of town. I was a tad exciuted and strateds researching this to find out it happens often enough there is an actual name associated with it which escapes me right now. Not exactly frequent, but is not rare either. Stills excites me though.
