It is a flying squirrel. I know because my sister Nancy has one just like it named Maggie. She found her one day while walking in a nearby park and has had her for a few years now.
Well, I just showed this to my hubby. He says it is a squirrel. Maybe one of those flying squirrels. He grew up in the country so I guess he would know better than I would. I just thoght the face looked more like a rabbit.
Well, I thought it looks like a baby rabbit too. But I’ve never seen one in a tree. It looks so cold I hope it is alright. Please who ever took the pic, tell us what it is?????

Check out the ears- squirrel ear, little one right above its eye. I have a yard full of them. Cute but kind of bad for my flowers.
