Unfortunately, it’s not only AOL that you have that particular problem with. Try canceling an account with AT&T or Dish Network. And if you paid a deposit, your not going to have a cake walk to get your money back, you have to fight tooth and nail to get your money back, As I had to cancel a work order for DirecTV because the installer couldn’t hook it up where we were living due to the hill we lived on and the trees. It took me 3 months,and complaints to the Better Business Bureau and my state Attorney General and the US Attorney General to finally get results. It’s rediculous.
Sorry to hear all the negative remarks about canceling the AOL account but I had absolutely no problem when I canceled my account with AOL.
