I think this is what one would call a labor of love.
The music is called “In the Hall of the Mountain King” which is part of Ibsen’s play called Peer Gent. I don’t think it was in Fantasia. It does sound a little like Inspector Gadget’s theme yet it isn’t. “A Night on Bald Mountain” was part of Fantasia.
I believe something like that is call a paraphrase, and parts were taken from the music of Peer Gent and used in Inspector Gadget. Not sure, I just knew it sounded familiar, somehow. I never saw the movie, just kind of remember it from the cartoon. With the neat rebuilding of this motor in the video, probably made me think of “gadgets.” Again, thanks, Raymond for the title and to all the others for the education.
Sorry to bother y’all with my silly question about the background music, but it really bugged me when I couldn’t place where I heard it before. Thank you everyone for your efforts to enlighten me.
Thank you wicked1, and Happy 4th. to you too. Just remember, “He who goes forth with a fifth on the Fourth, may not come forth on the fifth.” Have a safe holiday, and thanks to everyone again.
Help, please. What movie (cartoon) is the backgroung music from?
I believe it was from Walt Disney’s Fantasia.
The music is called: “In the Hall of the Mountain King”.
I love the video. Wish my dad were still around to see it. He made a living as a mechanic all his life.
Thank you SuziQ. That was really bothering me.
I’m thinking the tune could be from Inspector Gadget?
Wow!
WRONG!
Thanks, Raymond!
I just didn’t know the title of the song. It is indeed the Inspector Gadget theme song. Thanks!
I’ve never seen Inspector Gadget, but go to You Tube and type in under videos:
“In the Hall of the Mountain King”.
